Roundup of the Russ Carnahan/Ed Martin Debate
Some of the interesting stuff that came out of the debates:
The St. Louis tea party was bragging about how rude they were at the first debate.
Ed Martin tried to act like there was something wrong with Carnahan pointing out that his wife owns over $100,000 in oil stock, even though Martin has personally attacked Carnahan's wife and late father in the past.
Hotflash at Show Me Progress had a great post about the obnoxious behavior of Martin and his tea party crowd at the 2nd debate.
FiredUp Missouri caught Martin in a lie about the new health care reform bill, with Martin claiming that 16,000 IRS agents are comintagetcha!
Martin also repeated for the 10 billionth time his lie about the health care reforms funding abortion.
Carnahan, meanwhile, gave a great answer on abortion.
Ed Martin came out against laws that protect dogs from cruelty, while Carnahan came out for the laws.
Martin defended tax cuts for the wealthiest 2 % of Americans, and Carnahan pointed out that that dumb idea would add $700 billion dollars to our deficit over 10 years.
And last but not least, Ed Martin claimed that ending discrimination in the military was "social engineering."
