Loesch Troll Chip Gerdes Moves From "Homophobic Jerk" to "Obsessively Creepy"

A couple months ago, I wrote about how the Loeschs' friend and collaborator Chip Gerdes, a Republican operative from Quincy, Illinois, was leading a charge of vulgar homophobic slurs being thrown in my direction. If someone says something vulgar like "Adam loves d**k" one time, I would consider them to be a jerk.  If they say it a couple times, I'd start to think they're kinda strange.  But when Gerdes keeps saying the same homophobic comments over-and-over for the past several months, I think it starts to move into the category of "seriously disturbed," especially when Gerdes has previously threatened to slash my tires.

Here's just a small sample of the bizarre sexual comments from Gerdes.  Keep in mind this isn't some random guy on the internet: this is a Republican operative who works with the Loeschs, with Gateway Pundit, and worked as recently as a few months ago as an assistant to Jack Roeser, the president of the Family Taxpayer's Association. For point of reference, my name is Adam and they refer to me as "ponytail."

Not only is Gerdes homophobic and obsessive, he's also a misogynist. When my friend Sarah called him out on his comments, he responded by idiotically attacking her looks.

As for the Loeschs, they continue to direct people to creeps like Gerdes and Brooks Bayne and will absolutely never, ever criticize anything from the Right unless it interferes with their career plans.  

Even conservatives have contacted me to let me know how disgusting Gerdes behavior is, which I am grateful for. I know memory is often idealized, but I continue to believe that there was a time when people who behaved so disgustingly would be shunned from political discourse or at least asked to modify their behavior.  Yet the amoral thugs driving the right-wing blogosphere celebrate indecency, immorality, and hatred.  If they ever have any influence on the operation of the government, anyone who disagrees with them should be very afraid, since they have literally no moral standards when it comes the people they disagree with politically.

Quincy, Illinois Republican operative Chip Gerdes, previously known for making over-the-top personal attacks from behind his (formerly) anonymous account and tweeting about activists' homes, tweeted the following last week:
Now, I'm not saying this because I think anyone should be worried. However, if you haven't noticed, I am a firm believer in documenting this kind of obnoxious behavior.

When Breitbart Bloggers Attack

Yesterday, I wrote about the pathetic attempt of right-wing hacks to attack me based on a fake Twitter account. However, that attack was actually the culmination of a series of disingenuous attacks by a group of Breitbart bloggers this weekend that revealed the moral depravity of the group. As noted yesterday, my post on John Burns' nonsense must have struck a nerve.

Anyway, after writing that post , Republican operative and Breitbart collaborator Chip Gerdes (know as @TookieW on twitter), started claiming that I was "sexist" and had a "hatred of women," apparently because I previously have written posts criticizing Dana Loesch:

I asked Gerdes, albeit in slightly more dramatic language, what my post about John Burns had to do with "attacking conservative women," but it didn't slow him down:


In fact, this was part of a pattern from Gerdes of making brazenly mean-spirited attacks:


In fact, as if accusing me of "hating women" isn't bad enough, when 25thCenturyGirl jumped into the discussion, Gerdes claimed that I "attack children:"

Having one Breitbart lackey attacking me with blatant lies wasn't really news, but what made it strange was that a large group of Breitbart minions quickly jumped in, and they apparently were familiar with things like where I work. Here's "Liberty Chick:"

I certainly am very critical of Dana Loesch's lies and hypocrisy on this blog, just as I am critical of the lies and hypocrisy of Bill Hennessy, Jim Hoft, Jim Durbin, and John Burns. Loesch has, on many occasions, used her megaphone as a radio host to try to destroy the lives of innocent people, and I certainly am not going to sit back and allow that to happen just because a bunch of Breitbart minions will shriek about it. Anyway, since I, unlike them, am interested in honest discussion, I told them to provide some evidence for their claims:



Naturally, they passed. Gerdes just claimed "it was obvious" if you look at the blog, and Liberty Chick played stupid:

And Chip Gerdes revealed just how absurd (and unserious) his claim was when he told me that the reasons I'm sexist is because other people apparently said mean things about Dana Loesch in an RFT article:

That's all they got. Seriously. Anyway, after this embarrassing performance by the Breitbart roving Twitter gang, I sent them off with this:

This whole episode demonstrates just how incredibly pathetic the average right-wing blog reader has become. The fact that this group of people, including 3 editors of the Big websites, can get away with mean-spirited personal attacks based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever is a testament to the fact that their audience simply doesn't care about evidence. They can scream out vicious attacks without a shred of supporting evidence because the readers of the Big sites are indifferent to standards of good journalism or human decency. However, that just makes it that much more important that mainstream media outlets and honest conservatives call out the hatred and shoddy attacks from this group, rather than giving them a further platform for this corrosive nonsense. They are not going to police themselves because they have no incentive to do so: but members of society who actually care about truth and decency have a duty to stand against these slime attacks. Fortunately, I know how to handle their garbage, but when they pick on people who aren't used to it, as they often do, they can do some real damage. It's up to the rest of us to make sure that this doesn't happen.

Dumbest Bretibart Blogger Attack Ever! (and that's saying something)

Yesterday, I touched a tea party nerve by writing a post about John Burns' ridiculous argument that Wash U students deciding not to pay $19,000 to Bristol Palin for a talk about abstinence was exactly like segregation. In the middle of this discussion, I recieved a mysterious notification on Twitter. Some account calling itself @stlcoffeeparty wrote the following obnoxious comment:

First of all, this quote is despicable. I've heard quite a few people objecting to the university paying Bristol Paln $19,000, but never heard anyone say anything this obnoxious. Second, it's also idiotic since I didn't have anything to do with the student union deciding to uninvite Palin. I never even contacted the university to complain. And third, the quote quite obviously stands in complete opposition to the stated goals of the Coffee Party, which was created with the stated purpose of facilitating more civil discussions. It seems obvious to me that this guy was a fake. In fact, if you look at his Twitter account, he only had one post since March 13 before he mysteriously decided to jump in and implicate me in his despicable comment:

So first of all, the account is a fake, or has been hacked. Second of all, whether or not it was fake, I immediately rejected it. Here's what I wrote right after seeing it:

Mysteriously, though, the comment by "stlcoffeeparty" was immediately retweeted by @TookieW, also known as Chip Gerdes, a Republican operative from Quincy, IL who had been spending the whole day claiming that I "hated women" because I point out hypocrisy and inconsistencies from Dana Loesch, as well as those from Jim Hoft, John Burns, Bill Hennessy, etc.

Anyone with 1/2 of a brain would see that I had nothing to do with that obnoxious tweet. So, naturally, Gateway Pundit Jim Hoft was all over it:

Obviously, whoever wrote the tweet from the "coffee party" account is despicable, no matter what their politics. However, equally obvious, from my perspective, is that any organized right-wing efforts to use this fake account to attack me would be a pretty compelling demonstration of stupidity and evil.
