Brooks Bayne regularly implores his 100K followers to call the businesses and clients that his targets work for. The goal is obviously to get the targets fired or to lose business. And for what? Because they disagreed with him on Twitter. This is beyond the pale. It is destructive. And, it is a form of suppression of dissent.

In case it wasn't obvious, Brooks Bayne* is a very bad person.

Responding to the recent controversial remarks made by Rush Limbaugh, Rep. Speier asked women to boycott those companies that sponsored Limbaugh’s radio show. Century 21 Real Estate was cited incorrectly, among a number of other companies, as a sponsor of the show.

Let’s be clear. Century 21 Real Estate is not a sponsor or supporter of the Rush Limbaugh radio program, and we have taken every proactive step possible to ensure our network ads will be blocked from running within, or adjacent to, this syndicated program in the future.

Women are very important to our business, a business that has been supporting female home-buyers and sellers for more than 40 years. Women play an important role in the real estate industry both from the agent side (57% are women*) to buyers (20% of recent home buyers were single females*).

Where do you get the idea that Wehrenberg Theatres supports Rush Limbaugh? Some people think we support him because Goodwill Industries' ad is running on the same radio station but we don't advertise our business on that station or during that time period. We don't believe that Goodwill Industries has a say in when their spots will run, but they are checking into it.

A note - Wehrenberg Theatres did not purchase advertising during Rush Limbaugh's show. The ads in question were purchased by Goodwill to tout the fact Wehrenberg donated passes to Goodwill. Goodwill gives those passes to donors every Wednesday in March (while supplies last).

Goodwill also did not schedule those ads during Rush's show. KMOX added them because they had extra space and needed to fill it. The ads will not run during Rush's show again, though the charitable donation campaign itself will still run through March.
