Here's the latest post from Adam Sharp, who KMOV disgracefully had on as a guest last month to discuss the St. Louis Tea Party "populist uprising": You stay classy KMOV, and thanks for keeping the citizens of St. Louis so informed.
I'm not defending Sharp, but I hope you can see the constructionism of a deroguatory term when used to insigate bigotry. "Teabagger" is just such a term, with its dark double entendre....like "faggot". Somehow, the non-sensical inferences lend the hearer to adhere...to the bent logic ...that "they deserve it". So, pease, at least be aware, that to entice the populace to use such a term actually does add energy to a force of negativity, a blind alienation, accompanied by nods, and winks. Every bigot attack, has a "slur". Teabagger...is just the latest.
Thx for all that you do, really enjoy your blog and your 'voice' here in STL

I wonder what Freud would say about that desire?
ReplyDeleteI mean, c'mon, he's insisting...! Is this how his elbows got so sharp?
